I know this post will likely get swollowed up and not be seen, however does this have to be the end of SAMP 0.3.8 and probably the end of SAMP development? There is plenty of interest and life still within this community and there are plenty of talented people who would be more than willing to apply to join the development team and crack on with 0.3.8 and future updates. I feel it is such a shame for this to be the end to my such a great mod, a mod that's apart of many people's childhood or early adulthood. Not only has it been an inspiration to many to learn a simple programming language it's hopefully going to continue to be an inspiration into the future. SAMP offers to teach people the basics of programming at such an easy and low level, and has been many people's first step I'm sure into a programming career, for me I can find several ways my life would be different if SAMP never existed and that's why it has a deep loving place in my heart and it will have for the rest of my life I'm sure.

The development and inspiration SAMP offers doesn't have to end here, there are plenty of competent people who are willing and capable of helping to push SAMP to to its limits and show what SAMP really can be. I'm willing to jump onto the development team at the drop of a hat, Gamer_Z I'm sure can be convinced to come back and lay down some solid code aswell, were competent we are here please utilise us as a community we want to be help.

I'm obviously not asking for SA-MP to be made open source, the fact that it's closed source is one of the things that is special about it, it also gives it the ability to be super optimised and limit repetition and sloppyness of code as you see much of in MTA.

Please utilise useful and intelligent members of this community though, were here and we want to help. SAMP has a deep place in many of our hearts and we may all live very different lives today had this never existed.

I would like to use this thread to personally thank the developers of SAMP past, present, and future. The time spent programming SAMP is forever lost but will never be forgotten. I don't want to kill motivation any further I just want the impact of what you've created settle in, even if it has to end here you've given me a great time and many others. I support your decision no matter what the outcome.

P.S: I know this is recreation of the cancellation thread I've only just got around to posting in it and after writing found it was closed. I apologise for creating this thread, but I feel this is worth the grief and the potential ban, SAMP has a place in all of our hearts somewhere.
