Hello SA-MP Community!
As you may have heard there is an outgoing crisis within some fields of the SA-MP community where several community members and groups (including myself formerly) have outraged towards the absence and lack of interest and contribution put in by the SA-MP team after the 0.3.7 update and many angered about the 2-year gap.
Statistics show us that every week there is a batch of pathetic and retarded replies in the popular threads created of SA-MP staff members. Not only replies, but a dozen of threads had been created by people who don't associate with the situation and try to throw rocks at the staff because of the gap, all with the same theory and struggle in their message. Whilst recently there were attempts to try and confuse and manipulate the community of a 0.3.8 update by a Russian group, which was debunked by dugi.
I've noticed how veteran and experienced members were tired of repeating the same argument and theory they had about the whole situation, and so those who struggled to understand were given petty, blank answers which only led to more unnecessary and pathetic threads and replies about SA-MP and the future.
What I am about to show you is a spreadsheet with information gathered through numerous sources and organized neatly in a table with statistics. I originally intended to do this several months ago, but I didn't have the time to do so (Summer vacations, opportunities etc), nor was I bothered at that time. Not that I am more bothered now! But I set a plan and a layout and I urged myself to finish it.
This plan was simple as walking through the road to roam the park, but having arrived at the park I'd notice something that I haven't noticed before.
I sat there for some time to gather all of the existing and former members of the SA-MP team. Individually listing their rank, last activity, their associated server and something about themselves. I quickly had learned that most of them expressed views towards the project that I haven't thought about fully. It impacted me to create better and positive view as well, and construct a better ideology for myself. I quickly became careless of an update and rather focused on enjoying my time on this game that I had played for so long, creating endless memories, building friendships and constructing skills and experiences which helped me evolve in my working activities and studies in real life.
NOTE:
I had collected this information through a time period of 48 hours, thus meaning that some information may not be as accurate than you know. Perhaps I missed something or someone out or did not fully explain something in the spreadsheet? If you spot something of that sort, then please politely and calmly contact me so I can update the spreadsheet with new accurate information. Thanks!
Statistics and information about the recent activity of the pupils on the list were collected through numerous factors and methods, of which include:
1. SA-MP Last Post Activity
2. SA-MP Last Active Feature
3. Pupil's personal SA-MP communities and their recent posts/activity dates.
Lastly! To summarize the statistics which were established and to make a possible assumption or conclusion.
Everything is least important than the "Active By Month" chart which actually shows us that 15/20 members March>June>July>August 2017 (former and current) have shown most activity in this year alone and most significant month that a large majority of members have been active in August of 2017.
That means a great percentage of the Beta Testers [10] have shown enormous activity and contribution one way or another on staying alive and relevant to the SA-MP scene. Or just simply showing interest to check the news and notifications - just like us ordinary members do.
For a moment let's assume that the myth about Kalcor staying undercover to avoid rapid bursts of the SPAS 12 rage from young kids is true. Then that sort of fits in the drastic interest and activity from recent beta testers. It is probably possible that some sort of tests or activities on the inside are outgoing and require the participation of multiple people. But this can never be confirmed unless supported by a moderator who has authority and communication with actual people with more key information.
Brainstorming some ideas I thought about another factor that could come into play and this is the forum content. Statistics on the spreadsheet are not very close to consistent since it shows data from the 12th of August then the 16th and if you get my point it's a little cluttered since not all members are active on a specific day or week. But precisely because of that it gives me other ideas which I can twist into a conclusion.
I am sure that every project and SA-MP is no exception has private forums on their website which can be accessed with specific permissions. Take the archive section, when your thread gets dumped you are unable to see it because you require these "permissions". I am very sure that the archive section is not the only section which 10 beta testers inconsistently would come to check in a range of two months. There is probably staff sections and developer sections which explain thoroughly the situation that is going on and how future updates (if any) are going to occur.
Perhaps the Beta Testers were given their tasks already and are now working on their little contributions (3d designs, skins etcetera). We all know that Kalcor is the main figure which develops the project and the beta testers are involved very minimal hence why they could get small tasks that can be done in a short amount of time and do not require their involvement 24/7.
We know that Beta Testers have involvement in updates because their work and contribution has been credited and included in the past. An example is Matite for his objects.
However bear in mind, these are not facts, but assumptions and ideas.
To end this, I'd be frankly honest to give my personal thought about all of this now that I have learned, compared and went over data so much - I'd like to say that I am happy and satisfied with what we've received so far and I can sleep well at night knowing I can play GTA San Andreas with skin shooting and servers with slots that can hold up to 100 to 1000 players. I'd be happy and surprised if there was even another update, who wouldn't cherish another update huh? But it isn't to me to decide whether an update is needed or not. The project has come a long way, they are people too and deserve to relax and enjoy the success of the community and how far their project has gone.
Thanks for reading this thread! I will definitely not intend to make another one in awhile!
